Omri koresh has released a 2GB HD Fan Remaster Mod for American McGee’s Alice. This mod introduces high resolution textures, a new HUD, and revamped menus. Furthermore, this mod introduces an “Overkill” setting that places more models and enemies in game.

According to the modder, most of the textures are upscaled 4X, while others are upscaled 2X. This is mainly due to an engine issue. When the modder tried to upscale all textures by 4 times, the game crashed.

It was released on October 6, 2000 for PC and on July 20, 2001 for Mac. Designed by American McGee, hence the game's title, Alice acts as a macabre unauthorized sequel to Lewis Carroll's best-known novels, Alice's Adventures in. Ten years after Alice was committed to Rutledge, she finds herself sucked back into a Wonderland that has been twisted by her own broken mind. The White Rabbit summons Alice to aid a radically altered Wonderland, which became a twisted version of itself as it came under the horrible rule of the Queen of Hearts. Set to ship sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving, American McGee's Alice is improving daily as it nears completion. As one of EA's most highly anticipated games set for release this year.

Do note that American McGee’s Alice is a really old game. Thus, and even with this new HD Texture Pack, the game may still feel a bit dated. After all, the modder was not able to enhance the game’s 3D models.

In order to showcase this mod in action, Omri koresh released the following video. Unfortunately, this gameplay video does not feature any before/after comparison scenes. Still, it will give you an idea of what you can expect from it.

American Mcgee S Alice Windows 10

American McGee's Alice is a direct sequel to Lewis Carroll's famous book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The story begins with Alice's parents dying in a house fire, and Alice taking the blame for it. After repeated attempts at suicide, she gets locked up inside a mental institution and is slowly wasting away there before she is summoned to Wonderland again by the White Rabbit. But this time it's a Wonderland gone seriously bad and gory. The only chance for Alice to restore her piece of mind and find out more about the death of her parents is to fight through Wonderland and free it from the evil powers.

She's an interactive horror game, but unlike games such as Out Of This World, and Resident Evil, you interact with the madness as Alice tries to escape the demented surroundings of her own fantasy world that she's been thrust into. Concerning the gameplay, a classic 3D action adventure with a female heroine is offered, much like Tomb Raider. Alice fights, jumps and runs her mostly linear way through environments that can best be described as surreal.

Game can be run in Tiger+ OS X without installers just by copying the 'base' folder from dL #1 and the Alice app from dL #2 into their own new folder named Alice for example.

For Older than OS X 10.4 it cannot use the version 1.1.2 !
v1.0 installs and needs 3 'library' files alongside the app in its Alice folder. Versions 1.1.2 and 1.0 can coexist in the same Alice folder using the same 'base' CD data. No need to rename, you can drag the 1.1.2 crack app to the 1.0 installation and launch both versions. v1.0 is not (yet) cracked, it demands to scan the CD. Avoid burning a disc -> Any/blank/empty image named 'Alice' suffices when mounted normally using OS X, but OS 9 tested to be trickier. OS 9 requires any/empty image named 'Alice' be mounted using 'Virtual CD/DVD Utility' because mounting with the built-in utility doesn't pass the test. Advanced dv-pro 5 user manual.
