I know this has been answered in the past, but I couldn't find it by searching. Does anyone know what is the name of the Bel Air script font? And has anyone seen it in chrome?

What size?
There are different sizes for different locations on the car. Also, '55 and '56's have chrome plated script on the 1/4's vs '57's gold.

Found both of these on dafont.com. This one is called Dymaxion Script, it's close:

But I like this one a lot better, it's called Hood Ornament:

You can type in the phrase you want to see in these scripts, type in 'Chevrolet' and I think you'll like it.

Bob: It never ceases to amaze me how many folks who don't know a thing about the topic try to answer anyway! Here's what you're looking for: the font used by Chevrolet goes by two names, both are the same font: RACEWAY & HOOD ORNAMENT. GM makes occasional slight changes to that font for their products, but those changes probably don't have a name.

The font info is interesting. I was toying with the idea of buying plain aluminum valve covers and having 'Chevrolet' engraved in them by a customer of mine. Until now, I didn't know where to find the font.
